Latest Update on Discontinuation of Annual CSD Smart Card Renewal
Due to inconvenience caused to the CSD smart cardholder, the Ministry of Defence, Canteen Stores Dept has discontinued the Requirement of Annual Card Renewal.
This was stated as per DDGCS Letter dated 21 September 2022:

The new policy has been in effect from 1st January 2023. All the CSD Card Holders such as ESM, Veer Naris, Civil Defence Employees (Serving / Retired) can now enjoy the benefits of the Army Canteen Smart Card without renewing the card.
Cards of the deceased ESM / Beneficiaries will automatically be deactivated as per the new policy.
How To Apply for CSD Canteen Card Renewal?
By visiting the official CSD website or the Unit Run Canteen (URC) the applicants can ensure uninterrupted access to the benefits of shopping at CSD canteens. The process to renew your CSD Canteen Smart Card is given below:
- Visit the CSD website www.afd.csdindia.gov.in or a nearby CSD depot.
- Collect and fill out the CSD Canteen Card Renewal application form.
- Gather the necessary documents, such as ID proof, address proof, and passport-sized photos.
- Submit the completed form and documents, along with the renewal fee.
- Await card processing and receive your renewed CSD Canteen Card.

i am Ex Sgt 690275 N Goutam Kumar Mandal, my canteen glossary & Liquor card date is expired, how can I renewed the same online to avoid any delay.
canteen card should be renewed 3mnths before its expiry date. the online facility is not currently in practise as the website is still in beta phase. i suggest you to approach your parent canteen/nearest canteen and ask for the renewal application form for the same, fill and submit with required documents and photographs.

I submitted my application for renewal of my existing glossary and liquor cards to Manager, NCC law garden Canteen. Ahmedabad , Gujarat on 07.6.2024 after all process. I inquired several times to Manager. He always replied that is in process at CSD .
